Aspect's Behaviour Workshops are ASD-specific courses based upon principles arising from Parent Management Training, a well researched program that teaches parents to manage their child's behavioural problems in the home.
Aspect's main behaviour workshop - Recipe for Success, is a positive behaviour workshop for families.
The course is best suited for parents/carers of children with a diagnosis of an ASD aged from 3 to 15, who display some challenging behaviours (although the principles apply to all age groups).
Behaviour Workshops run for 3 consecutive days from 9:30am to 2:30pm and consists of verbal presentations, parent discussion, video, and practical group and individual exercises with lots of useful take home materials, including forms, checklists, how-to’s and information sheets. The course has been running for six years and has consistently been well received by parents and carers across the state, from Tweed Heads to Merimbula and Sydney to Broken Hill.
Testimonials
'Wonderful information with clear visuals and resources to take home. Showed each step in detail which was very clear to follow and feel I could implement at home. Thankyou.'
'I have been to many presentations/symposiums of 1 day, 2 or 3 days duration and this has been by far the best and most helpful. I feel a lot more confident, thank you.'
'Thank you so much for providing all this information. This course provides such vital basic assistance for caregivers to deal with the challengers of living with ASD. It would be wonderful if all families could be provided with this workshop- I will certainly be recommending “Recipe” to all I speak to. Thank you.'
Professionals supporting a family attending the workshop are invited to attend.
