Aspect Hunter School provides children with an autism spectrum disorder specialised placement options and supports families to develop strategies and support networks for the future. The school provides a specialised curriculum and community integration programs supported by a multidisciplinary team comprising of an occupational therapist, speech therapist and school counsellor.
The school enrols children aged from 3 years and 10 months and from across the areas of Hunter Valley, Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. The school holds information sessions each term for parents and service providers to give details of the range of services provided by Aspect in the Hunter region. These services include early intervention, school-based programs, satellite support classes, training, educational outreach and enrolment.

Aspect Educational Outreach is a specialist autism intervention team that offers services to support students with autism spectrum disorder in mainstream and SSP schools. The philosophy of the service is based on collaborative partnerships with parents, schools and other professionals. Students who need support in school in the areas of behaviour, communication and social skills are referred to this service.
