On 19 January, Progress Leader newspaper reported that five members of Aspect Choose & Connect - Victoria are taking part in a horticulture program to learn new skills.

Progress Leader article:

Five members of the Hawthorn Aspect group are taking part in a grassroots program at Yarra Park.

The program, which sees participants work two days a week around the MCG, helps participants learn the basics of gardening and maintaining barbecue facilities.

Melbourne Cricket Club general manager of facilities, Peter Wearne, said the program was a great educational tool.

“For a number of the participants this program is providing their first experience in the horticultural field, so we hope that their time spent working in Yarra Park is both enjoyable and informative,” he said.

The program runs until February.
