Kathy has always worked in roles where she’s able to help children and make a difference. She currently has a Cert III in Education and a Diploma in Community Services, having worked both as a Teacher’s Aide in Catholic Education and as an In Home Support Worker for a Child Protection agency.
Kathy joined Aspect’s Therapy team based in Maryborough, Queensland as an Allied Health Assistant in 2021, and thanks to support from Aspect is now completing her Cert IV in Allied Health.
“I’m thankful for the study support Aspect has provided to obtain my certification. I’m enjoying my new role as an AHA and love the outreach visits. Our team of Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists are so great to work with.”
It’s also been fantastic to come together as a team at our recent National Conference. One of the highlights from the National Conference was a presentation that about how our participants have flourished at Aspect. It was very moving and motivational. By far, the most rewarding part of my role is working hands on with the participants and families.”
