Aspect’s autism training, workshops, webinars and ebooks deliver practical, real-world guidance to assist families, communities, professionals and organisations to build inclusive communities and enhance the lives of Autistic people.

Our work is underpinned by 50 years of autism service provision and our commitment to evidence-informed practice. Every workshop and webinar is co-designed with our Autistic staff to ensure the content is relevant and respectful to Autistic people.

We specialise in delivering customised autism and hidden disability staff training programs that are:

  • comprehensive and cover a wide range of strategies to meet different needs
  • informed by research and best practice
  • co-designed with our Autistic staff members
  • co-delivered by Autistic presenters who share their own relatable examples
  • individualised to meet organisations’ specific needs
  • flexibly delivered face to face or on-line

Our clients range from small to some of Australia’s largest businesses, including airports, trams, trains, shops and shopping centres, libraries, cultural institutions (including museums, art galleries and zoos), sporting organisations (soccer, dance, swimming, basketball etc) and special events such as quiet hours and relaxed performances.

Aspect’s customised workshops give practitioners the opportunity to tap into our wealth of experience in supporting Autistic people. Each workshop is:

  • co-designed in partnership with individuals with lived experience of the autism spectrum
  • grounded in evidence-based practices, offering you a clear understanding of effective strategies and how they can be applied in real-world settings to support individuals on the autism spectrum
  • focused on practical application, with our experienced allied health specialists providing comprehensive guidance on the what, how, where, when and who of implementing best practices in autism support.

Lead time

Lead times may vary but typically, we require 2-3 months to prepare a customised workshop, depending on topic.

Face-to-face workshops

Depending on location within Australia, Aspect can deliver face-to-face workshops. Please note travel and accommodation costs are extra.

Number of participants

There is no maximum number of workshop participants, however we do require a minimum of five attendees to conduct a customised workshop.

Pricing

Quotes for customised workshop cover workshop development, administration and delivery time. Prices vary according to duration, delivery mode and location. Webinars for organisations can be recorded for an extra cost.

Indicative pricing*:

  • Two-hour workshop: in-person $2200, webinar $1925
  • Half-day workshop: in-person $3850, webinar $3575
  • Full-day (6 hours) in person $4950, webinar $4675

All purchased webinars are accessible for 120 days. The recordings don’t need to be viewed all at once and can be watched as many times as you like during that period. Simply keep the email receipt and click on the link again to re-watch.

Aspect Self-compassion Program for Autistic Adults (ASPAA) – Clinician Version

ASPAA is a self-guided online program for Autistic adults to learn to become more self-compassionate. The ASPAA – Clinician Version is designed for clinicians, therapists, psychologists and mental health professionals to support Autistic clients to become more self-compassionate. It consists of five modules for Autistic clients, with additional instructions for clinicians. Each module features a mix of information, lived experiences of Autistic people, points of reflection and skills to practise. The additional instructions allow clinicians to tailor the modules to best support their client. The program can be run on desktop computers or mobile devices.

The Aspect Research Centre for Autism Practice (ARCAP) runs webinars exploring advances in autism practice research. Our webinars are presented by Aspect’s researchers and practitioners as well as external Autistic and non-Autistic experts.
