Walk for autism
Thank you to everyone who joined us during our first Walk for autism. We logged 24,186,017 steps around Australia and celebrated World Autism Awareness Day!
Our mission was to go colourful and celebrate the spectrum by joining together to Walk for autism.
Walk for autism
Thank you to all the walkers who joined us from World Autism Awareness Day on April 2 and stepped out for 7 days to celebrate people on the autism spectrum and raise awareness across Australia! Its still not too late to join us though - you can sign up anytime you like and pick your own 7 days to help us towards our goal. During the first week of walking, we smashed 19 million steps which took us around the whole of Highway 1 with a detour to Hobart but we're aiming to clock up 23 million more across the year to take us to every corner, bay, and beach on the Australian coast! With your help we will be able to celebrate the spectrum and raise awareness and money to support those on the autism spectrum.
We will let you know when we launch Walk for autism 2017 but in the meantime if you have any questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 1800 288 476
- School resources: Use our teacher’s lesson plan to build awareness about autism in schools. Email email@example.com to receive yours.
- Download and share podcasts on a range of topics: To support our quarterly newsletter, Aspect Practice Conversations, we developed a series of podcasts on a range of educational and research focused topics.
