Indicators of an Autism Spectrum Disorder can begin in the first year of life and may present in a childs behaviour, sensory processing of the world, their communication, social skills and in their play. This workshop is based on what the research is telling us about the early signs of autism and how we can encourage development through play. Focus 1: Early signs of Autism and how to address developmental concerns for your child or a child you work with. Focus 2: Difficulties children with autism experience in their play and the importance of developing these play skills based on the three stages of play development. From the early stages of building joint attention and imitation right through to engaging with others in cooperative and pretend play, this workshop has videos and demonstrations to provide participants practical ways to encourage this development and participants are invited to practice their skills with one anotherClick here for more information about this workshop Click here to read the Terms and Conditions of Registration
