Accessing employment for a person on the autism spectrum can be a difficult transition with some significant barriers. At Aspect our employment services are specifically designed to support Autistic job seekers to develop the key skills to find and maintain long term, meaningful employment.

Aspect offers extensive assistance with recruitment, job seeking, interview support, mentoring and training, both for employers and employees, through our Aspect Employment team.

We have supported a variety of organisations to recruit for many different roles. Our tailored recruitment programs promote the assessment of relevant job skills and avoid old fashioned recruitment strategies that are often ineffective and not inclusive.

Aspect Employment Mentoring Program

The Aspect Employment Mentoring Program offers guidance and advice to assist adults on the spectrum move into the world of work with ease and confidence. Our Employment Mentors are experienced in offering specialist employment support, so we understand your unique strengths and the barriers faced when making the transition into employment. We will work with you to uncover your untapped capabilities to fulfil your potential in the workplace and find meaningful employment.

Training

Aspect Employment Workplace Training for Employers

Aspect Employment Workplace Training offers bespoke autism awareness training for your organisation to understand the contribution employees on the autism spectrum can make to your workplace, learn best practice strategies for managing and supporting your employees and tips for successfully recruiting candidates from this untapped talent pool. We can support your organisation to:

• Increase understanding of positive attributes and contributions to the workplace
• Receive guidance on best practices for recruiting candidates
• Increase confidence in managing an employee on the spectrum
• Discuss current issues or concerns relating to an employee on the spectrum
• Learn how to design and implement appropriate management strategies

Eligibility and Costs

Training would be beneficial for managers, colleagues, hiring manager’s administration staff and staff who may wish to learn more about autism in the workplace or whom interact with colleagues on the spectrum.

Aspect Employer Recruitment Support

Aspect Employer Recruitment Support provides support to your organisation to successfully hire and manage staff on the autism spectrum. With our support your organisation can access our talent pool of skilled candidates through our placement program to match our candidates to your specific requirements for internships or permanent positions.

Aspect Employment DES Training and Consultancy

Disability Employment Service’s (DES) and Transition to Work (TTW) providers around Australia are seeing an increase in their numbers of job seekers on the spectrum. Aspect Employment can work in collaboration with your client and staff to provide training, support and coaching to build the skills and capacity within your team and work with your clients to get better outcomes for your jobseekers on the spectrum.

Aspect Employee Training: Workshops to Success

Aspect Employment can meet employees’ training needs via our one-day introductory training courses for employees on the spectrum.
