Gold Coast Airport is launching a comprehensive and best practice program to assist passengers with a hidden disability following close consultation with key stakeholders, including Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect).

One of most comprehensive airport hidden disability programs in Australia, the new program is launched today as part of International Day of People with Disability. It includes a suite of planning tools, in conjunction with extensive employee training, to assist passengers with hidden disabilities and ensure their journey is as smooth as possible when travelling through the terminal.

The program is in proud partnership with Autism Spectrum Australia and includes online features such as a terminal sensory map, written social stories, information about the AmbassaPaw Therapy Dog Program and a hidden disability guide.
