Aspect Riverina School

Return to Aspect Schools

The Aspect Riverina School is the eighth school established by Aspect. Our school began in 2005 with 12 students in satellite classes at St Patrick’s Primary School Albury, and Sturt Primary School Wagga. The classes were originally part of Aspect South Coast and Macarthur Schools. Within eight years, the school has grown to its current enrolment of 70, and was registered in its own right as a K–10 school in 2011. The school currently employs both full and part time staff including: 18 teachers (principal and four coordinators), 14 teaching assistants; a speech pathologist; school psychologist  and school administration and support staff.

The staff at Aspect Riverina believe that our best work is done when we are allowed to use our creative professionalism with those who share a common reference point. Our common reference points are our school values. Our school outcomes define our purpose. As educators of children on the spectrum we are passionate about providing our students with a strong foundation from which they can continue to develop.

We believe: a genuine partnership with parents will support students in developing knowledge of their autism and we will deliver personalised learning programs for now and the future.

We measure our success by giving students the opportunity to develop skills to:

  • communicate with and be understood by others
  • access and participate in their communities
  • achieve a meaningful and appropriate level of independence
  • interact positively with others
  • understand and regulate their sensory needs, emotional responses and behaviour.

We are passionate about people, about being positive and what’s possible.
